Hello everyone, and welcome to the 35th season of the Duncan Farms Fantasy Football League. Amazingly, we are in our 35th season, and it’s amusing that the league is older than many participating people.
This will be more of a logistical newsletter. I hope to send a history/hype newsletter before the season starts. But for now, let’s move on to the logistics.
The web pages are set up. You can go to fantrax.com or use the fantrax app on your phone. Once you sign in, you should be able to see the league. If you need any help, just let me know.
The drafts are on the same dates as usual. The first division draft will be on Labor Day at 7 PM. The Family division draft will be the next day, Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, also at 7 PM. You do not need to draft; you can allow the system to auto-draft for you.
In the Dynasty division, we will begin cutdowns after the final preseason game on Sunday. You do not officially need to cut until the opening game on the following Thursday. However, you can only make pickups once you have made your cuts. The final number will be 38 players, including the coach.
Also, remember that you can make one coaching change during the offseason and one during the season. So, if you want to change, it is best to do it now, not after week one, because then you would not be able to change again until after the season.
Good luck, everyone, and have fun.
One last thing: I am going to do a guillotine league this year if you are interested. Basically, it is the fantasy football version of survivor. Here are two useful links.
And here is the invite if you want to get in. Jump in because I am going to invite others as well and there are 18 spots.
