Three weeks remaining in the regular season for the Family and First divisions. But we roll into the final week of the Dynasty division with some big-time pressure matchups.
FAMILY DIVISION
The Lynchburg Lemonades (Ryan) did it again and are now in unprecedented ground.
13-0!!! This is getting unreal.
The historic drama of the Lemonade’s undefeated run will draw the most eyes, but there is plenty of drama unfolding behind them.
With three games remaining, the race for the other three playoff spots is extremely close. It will be fun to see what happens this week.
FIRST DIVISION
The Virginia Pioneers (Dave) and Louisiana Lycanthropes (Kiley) have wrapped up two of the four playoff spots. Plus, those two play each other this week. Normally, the top two teams playing would make it a big game but it kinda feels uneventful with both already in the playoffs and just playing for seeding.
However, there is some drama on the playoff bubble.
The three teams at 5-8 are all in must win situations. Two of them play each other the other plays the team they are chasing.
Now that’s going to be fun.
DYNASTY DIVISION
Oh boy, we are going into the final week of the regular season and there are some monster matchups.
The DC Braves (Shebaz) and the Phoenix Heat (Steven) play for the first seed. The winner gets a bye in the first round and is one game away from the Super Bowl.
The Louisville Leafblowers (Shane) and the Minnetonka Chippewas (Greg) play for the final playoff spot. The winner is in and competes for a title, the loser is out and must survive the playdowns. Pressure!
The Montana Mountaineers (Chuck) and Houston Hydras (Dakota) play for the 11 seed. On the surface you would think, so what? Because the loser will be the 12th seed and get a bye in the playdowns. This means the winner gets one more chance to win a game in the playdowns and avoid the Toilet Bowl and possible relegation. Pressure, pressure!!
And here we go. This is the biggest game of the year so far as the loser will end in 14th place and get the first of two relegations. After frustrating seasons both of these teams need to win two of their three games to avoid relegation. Pressure, pressure, pressure!!!
