Week Eight

Here we go, rolling into week eight of the Duncan Farms Fantasy Football League! We are officially in full blown scramble mode at this point of the seasonInjuries are piling up while some key players are finally returning, the bye weeks continue, and NFL teams are shaking things up. Things are getting wild, and we’re all hustling to keep our lineups in winning shape.

Is it challenging? Definitely. But this is also where the real fun begins, and these make-or-break weeks are what define a season. Let’s dive in and see where everyone stands at this critical point!

FAMILY DIVISION

The Lynchburg Lemonades (Ryan) won yet another big game last weektightening their grip on the Family division.

With a perfect 7-0 record they are in rare and impressive territory

The question now, how long can they keep this run alive? This week they face off against another playoff threat, the Hawaii Volcanos (Paul), in what should be another awesome matchup. The Volcanos are the only team that outscored the Lemonades last week, can they do it again?

Will someone eventually prove that the Lemonades can be defeated? Stay tuned.

FIRST DIVISION

Are you kidding me? Another 7-0 team!

The Virginia Pioneers (Dave) are blazing through the season on a historic run, joining the Lynchburg Lemonades as the second undefeated powerhouse. It is very rare to see a team get this far into the season undefeated, but two? AWESOME!

This week, the Pioneers play the Oregon Lumberjacks, but the real competition may be between the Pioneers and the Lemonades to see who will blink first.

Meanwhile, after a classic comefromahead loss on Monday night last week, the Lumberjacks find themselves in a tightly packed group of seven teams, all within a game of 4th place, and the last playoff spot.

Wow, with the race this close, every game this week may end up crucial to determine who stays on top of the playoff bubble. The excitement and suspense just builds as we move to the midpoint of the season.

DYNASTY DIVISION

We have officially reached the mid-point of the Dynasty season. Seven games down, seven to go.

As always, the mission in the Dynasty division is simple, get to eight wins. Get to that number and you make the playoffs and avoid possible relegation. Just look at last yearTwo teams finished tied for the last playoff spot at 7-7. One team went on to win the title while the other ended up losing three straight and getting relegated. Getting those eight wins ensures survival.

The highlight game this week is a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIV from last year.

Can the Wave get a measure of revenge and an important 5th win? Should be fun to follow.

Good luck everyone!
