FAMILY DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
12-4 Olney Ospreys (Kirsi) versus 10-6 Poultry Platoon (Ericka)
The Poultry Platoon pulled off a huge victory last week, and have held onto 2nd place in the standings. This is thanks to a tiebreak advantage against the defending Champion Farmville Furies (Maddie). The Furies will no longer be the defending champs and are now the former champions. The Platoon will be looking for their first championship in only their second year of existence.
They will be joined in the Championship by the Olney Ospreys. The Ospreys had an impressive inaugural season earning the regular season Championship. The Ospreys 12-4 record is the second best of any team, on any level of the league. (Bested only by their boy toy’s team, the Salisbury Auto-Drafts)
Congrats and good luck to both teams in the Championship. There can be only one, Champion!
FIRST DIVISION SEMI-FINALS
The Dakota Dragons and the Kobe Beef both pulled off big victories last week to hold onto their playoff positions. Congrats to both, and welcome to the playoffs. Let’s look at this week’s matchups.
13-3 Salisbury Auto Drafts (Dakota) versus 10-6 Kobe Beef (Kobe)
Last week, the Kobe Beef where in a win and get in position. Win the game and they make the playoffs. Lose and they were going on vacation. To make the position even more precarious, their opponent was the number one team in the league, and the team with the best record of all 30 teams playing in any level of the league. The Salisbury Auto Drafts were not going to be an easy hurdle to overcome. The Beef pulled off a nail biting two-point victory and earned their spot in the semi-finals. What is their reward? A second straight matchup with the regular season Champions. Can Kobe defeat the best team in the league two weeks in a row?
The Salisbury Auto Drafts had a very impressive season. Despite the loss to the Beef last week, they still finished a ridiculous 13-3, and were the number one scoring team overall. Sure, they lost last week, but that was a meaningless game for Salisbury, and they rested their starters for most of the second half. This week they are looking to avenge that loss, earn a promotion in the Dynasty Division, and a spot in the Championship game next week. Will Salisbury finish out a dominating season with two more wins?
11-5 Louisiana Lycanthropes (Kiley) versus 10-6 Dakota Dragons (Butch)
The second semi-final matchup is also fascinating with both teams looking to make history. Let’s begin with the Dakota Dragons. The Dragons started out the season at 0-4, before winning 10 of their last 12 games. After making that run to the playoffs, the Dragons are in position to make league history. No team has won a championship on two different divisions. The Dragons already own four Dynasty Division championships, and now can earn a title in the First Division. The Dragons are on a roll and have an impressive history. But, there could be a problem.
You see, The Louisiana Lycanthropes have owned the First Division. They are the defending champions, and, they have won the league two of the last three years. The Lycanthropes are the First Division’s dynasty, especially if they add another title this year. Sure, the Dragons have an impressive history and resume. But the Lycanthropes are not intimidated, this is their league.

TOILET BOWL
Last week, the Minnetonka Chippewas (Greg) and the Saskatchewan Speedsters (Zach) pulled off victories and both locker rooms broke out in….
That just never gets old. Makes me laugh every time.
The Playdowns are about surviving. Pick up just one win to avoid advancing to the next round. If you can’t pick up a win, you end up in the Toilet Bowl, and face possible relegation. Every year it seems like the teams in the Toilet Bowl are only there because things just did not break their way. Well, they have one more chance to catch the breaks and survive.
6-10 Virginia Pioneers (Dave) versus 4-11 Oregon Lumberjacks (Jeremy)

Last year the DC Braves barely survived the Toilet Bowl. This year, the Braves were the number one scoring team and had the second-best record overall. The margins between the Toilet Bowl and the Super Bowl are small, the winner of this game could easily be in the Super Bowl next year.
SUPER BOWL XXXII
Yes, you saw that correctly, this is our 32nd Super Bowl. And it looks like a memorable one. Before we look at the two teams in the Super Bowl, let me highlight a fascinating bit of league history. The last six years have seen six different teams win the Super Bowl. The two teams competing this year are not on that list. So, after this game, we will have seven different champions in seven years. That is remarkable. Parity in the league is at an all-time high. Okay, let’s look at the participants.
10-6 WEST VIRGINIA BLACKLUNGS (Rob S)
What an impressive run to the Super Bowl by the Blacklungs. In the last two weeks the Blacklungs defeated the defending Champion Minnesota Blizzard and then the New Orleans Hurricanes. Those two teams have won a combined 13 Super Bowl Titles. So, knocking off those two big dogs is an impressive run.
The Blacklungs are led by Justin Herbert, Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown, and Mark Andrews. That is an impressive core that is supported by a deep roster. The Blacklungs only need one more victory to earn their first league Championship. Good luck West Virginia!
11-5 Montana Mountaineers (Chuck)
The Mountaineers are also looking to make history. They already have two Super Bowl victories. With a win this week the Mountaineers would become only the 4th team with three Championships on their resume. They are looking to make their move up the all-time list.
The Mountaineers will be led by a scary core of Jonathan Taylor, Deebo Samuel, and Tyreke Hill. But the biggest news may be who they will not be led by. Lamar Jackson will not be in the lineup this week. But the last few weeks this loaded roster has lit up the scoreboard without him. Maybe replacement Cam Newton can lead this roster to a championship and ride off into the sunset. Good luck Montana!
