Now that the curtains have dropped on the 34th season of our family fantasy football leagues, let’s look at who etched their names into the record books with remarkable achievements. We can celebrate all three record-breaking champions while we look forward to taking them down next season.
DISNEY DIVISION
The Coastal Wave (Abbey) took down the Disney Division championship with a thrilling victory over the Farmville Furies (Maddie) in the championship clash.
The Wave accomplishment is nothing short of remarkable. Not only are they the first two-time champion in the Disney Division, but what’s even more impressive is that the Wave have only competed in this division twice, winning the title both times.
Now, the Wave move into the First Division and get to test their mettle against more seasoned opponents. A round of applause for Abbey on a well deserved championship!
FIRST DIVISION
In this title game, the Dakota Dragons (Butch) roared and released a firery torment on the West Virginia Blacklungs (Rob S), turning the Lungers to ash.
This victory was record-setting as the Dragons became the first franchise to have a championship title on two levels. The four-time Dynasty champion Dragons now add a fifth chip to their collection. While others may win championships on multiple levels, the Dragons will always be the first. Congrats to Butch on a great run.
DYNASTY DIVISION
The Louisiana Lightning (Denny) electrified the league with a record-setting performance against the Myrtle Beach Wave (Rob D) in Super Bowl XXXIV.
The 56-point margin of victory stands as the highest ever recorded in our 34-year league history.
But wait, there’s more. The Lightning achieved a second milestone by becoming the first promotion team to seize a Super Bowl victory. Not only are they the first to win one, but they did it in their inaugural season. It was a truly dominant performance, as the Lightning were the highest-scoring team throughout all three playoff rounds. The Lightning were a force of nature that simply couldn’t be denied. Congrats to Denny on a remarkable run.
