Hello everyone. Can you believe we are already into week seven of the season? The first six weeks have flown by, and you are what your record says you are. Well, maybe not.

Some teams are off to blazing starts, others are hanging tough at 3-3, and, well, some are struggling and below 500. However, for those struggling teams there is good news. With ten weeks remaining in both the Family and First Divisions, there’s still plenty of time to turn things around, stack up some wins, and make a run for a title. And if you are off to a hot start, do not get complacent. Things change fast. You are what your record says you are at the end of the year, not at six weeks.

FAMILY DIVISION

First things first—our thoughts and hopes for a speedy recovery go out to Diane as she works her way back to full health after her surgeries. We’re all rooting for you!

LOVE YA, GET WELL SOON!!!

Now, let’s dive into the action!

The Lynchburg Lemonades (Ryan) continue their blistering run, standing tall at 6-0—two games ahead of everyone else! But don’t count out last year’s playoff contenders, the Farmville Furies (Maddie) and the Romney Raiders (Joey), both close behind at 4-2. And watch out for the Seymour Hoosiers (Myiah), who are heating up with a three-game winning streak!

The must-watch game this week? The Hoosiers vs. the Lemonades. Can Myiah’s squad keep their streak alive and pull the Lemonades back into the pack?

FIRST DIVISION

The Virginia Pioneers (Dave) are off to a blazing 6-0 start, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Lemonades as the only undefeated teams left. But right on their heels are the Louisiana Lycanthropes (Kiley) and the Pennsylvania Poultry Platoon (Erika), both solid at 4-2. And don’t sleep on the Kobe Beef (Kobe)! After a rough 0-4 start, they’ve fired back with two straight wins and are the second-hottest team in the league behind the Pioneers.

With eight of the ten teams sitting between 2-4 and 4-2, this week’s matchups are huge! Every game could shake up the standings, so we’ll be watching them all closely.

DYNASTY DIVISION

Now, in the Dynasty Division, things are a bit more urgent. The clock’s ticking because we only play 14 weeks, and with just eight weeks left, you need to hit eight wins to secure your playoff spot. Here’s a fun fact: in 34 years, no team with eight wins has ever missed the playoffs. But, with seven wins? Many seven win teams have missed the playoffs, and some have even faced the dreaded relegation after a disastrous playdown collapse. So, if you want to avoid that relegation fate, make sure you stack those eight wins and stay clear of the danger zone!

The DC Braves (Shehbaz) are sitting alone on top at 5-1. But what’s truly impressive about their strong start is this: not only do they have the highest points scored, but they’ve also had the most points scored against them. It’s tough to keep stacking wins when every opponent lights you up. An impressive show of strength.

The biggest game this week may be between two teams with losing records.

The Minnesota Blizzard (Geri) and Montana Mountaineers (Chuck) are two of the five teams in the Dynasty division that have never been relegated. But this week’s showdown could play a huge role in deciding who might face that dreaded fate this season. With so much on the line, this is the most interesting game of the week.

Good luck everyone.
